Job Overview
As the Global VP of People Operations and Reward, you lead a team to manage resourcing, workforce planning, people and recruitment systems, payroll, performance and reward. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement our reward and recognition strategy to attract, retain and motivate our globally diverse team, while remaining consistent with our values. An important aspect will be the communication of our value proposition and total compensation. Acting as deputy to the EVP of People & Talent, with the ability to contribute to the wider TM Forum leadership and strategy.
Team Management and Development
- Lead and develop the resourcing and people operations team, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback and identify opportunities for skill development and career growth within the team.
- Promote collaboration and cross-functional teamwork to achieve team and organizational goals.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the people operations and reward function.
HR Systems and Technology
- Oversee the selection, implementation and optimization of systems and technologies (e.g. recruitment, workforce planning & operations, engagement and reward management).
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within people systems, leveraging analytics to inform decision-making and enhance processes.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends to assess their potential impact on recruitment and people management.
Workforce Planning, Reporting and Analytics
- Develop and generate recruitment, people management metrics and reports to track key performance indicators.
- Analyze recruitment, workforce planning and reward data to identify trends, insights and areas for improvement, creating dashboards and presenting findings to senior management.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives in workforce planning, resourcing, people operations and reward management.
Reward, Recognition, Payroll and Financial Management
- Develop and implement a global reward strategy, including compensation, benefits, recognition and incentive programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings in a global context.
- Review and update the current recognition schemes to align with our values.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and finance to manage budgeting and forecasting.
- Manage the current payroll and benefits providers, reviewing the current outsourced supply (currently three different providers) to consolidate, ensuring high quality service and value for money.
Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify opportunities to streamline people processes and enhance efficiency in workforce planning and operations.
- Develop and implement standardized processes and workflows to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Implement audit mechanisms to ensure compliance with right to work, new starter checks and other contractual matters.
- Identify and manage people related risks, including mitigating actions.
Experience and Qualifications
- Leadership and team management experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Experience managing systems and technologies, with proficiency in HRIS and ATS platforms (HiBob, TeamTailor a plus but not essential).
- High levels of data literacy with advanced excel and workforce and financial modelling skills, (PowerBI or Tableau a plus but not essential).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to design and improve people processes, including finding automated solutions and ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
- Experience in the design and delivery of performance and reward processes, ideally in a Global organization.
- Experience in Executive reward strategies that result in measurable and commercially relevant solutions.
- Knowledge of best practice in benchmarking and evaluation methods
- Project Management Skills (setting direction, maintaining disciplines and focus, managing consultants and stakeholders).
- Experience in leading change projects (ideally having led formal consultation, but this is not essential).
- Knowledge of UK pension and / or 401k process and legislation.
- Experience in the design of a cash-based Long Term Incentive Plan is an advantage, but not essential.
